Big Shot Bob – Shoot Around Ep 78 – Black Robot or White Robot

As we close in on our 200th episode of the “big” show, we pick Rob’s brain about who he’d want for the 200th show. Show 100 was Bill Walton (RIP) and Rob suggests Dodgers manager Dave Roberts or James Worthy, who Rob though was already on the show. There was also some really interesting audio from Dwight Howard this week who is yet again sounding off on how he’s treated by Shaquille O’Neal – and if it’s indeed over the “Superman” nickname, Rob equates it to Chauncy Billups calling himself “Mr. Big Shot” and how it never bothered him. And we try to figure out which SEC head coach (Lane Kiffin) dropped into Sydney Thomas’s DMs!   Listeners call Rob to the carpet on his performance on “World’s Toughest Test” as there is a new season, and Cam Newton and Golden Tate are both performing really well… where Rob really didn’t. Rob also backs up Rick Barnes after the Tennessee men’s basketball coach benched one of his star players, Chaz Lanier, for not shooting the ball as that’s what he’s “being paid to do”, and it just reinforces that the old college sports model is dead and it’s now minor league sports. Plus listeners want to know if Rob would buy one of the new AI powered robots that were rolled out at this year’s CES in Las Vegas, and Rob does NOT want one because he’s a big believer in Terminator.   And we of course have to talk about the story of the week… the giant coyote that got pulled out of the produce section of an Aldi in Chicago.
