Big Shot Bob – Shoot Around Ep 81 – The M&M Bleed

We open the bonus show this week by talking about Joel Embiid, and the possibility of him needing yet another knee surgery. Rob feels like he did himself a disservice by playing in the Olympics and that the Sixers need to work with their doctors instead of his to try and get him back on the floor. Plus a listener wants to know if we’re sleeping on the Trail Blazers, who are still a young team and not that good yet, but Rob feels like they have a lot of upside.   Rob also defends his stance that the Lakers need to take the ball OUT of AR’s hands, after he had a monster night against the Pacers, but Rob says its because he just holds the ball too long and takes too many shots when he needs to spread it around more. Harper also thinks that Lakers need to work more on building around a big and less on the shooting guards that have been dominating the game. And listeners want to know Rob’s opinion on a player like Bradley Beal going back to the Wizards (even though they are not good) to be the big dog on the floor as opposed to getting limited time on a team that should be better.   Lastly, as Ben Simmons leaves the Nets, we ask Rob what team is immediately better if a player leaves town. And on Valentine’s Day, we ask all the guys about their top three candy bars and of course a huge debate breaks out.
