BIG3 chances at survival, Lakers-Sixers beef, and more

from Relatively Speaking Podcast · host Relatively Speaking Podcast

The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back and better than ever. In fact, you can ask anybody about the return of the Relatively Speaking Podcast, and you know what they would tell you? "The Relatively Speaking Podcast is back and better than ever." On this edition of the show, the guys continue to touch on basketball related subjects even though no games are being played. But wait... we lied! There are games taking place. It just so happens to be in Ice Cube's BIG3 league. After the show begins with Joseph discussing his walloping of family members during a Frisbee game at his daughter's graduation party, the hot-takes begin. The Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers have a small Twitter beef going. The guys discuss how it is harmless, yet incredibly delightful. With the BIG3 starting, yet airing on tape delay, Jared and Joseph discuss the prospects for the league. Both admit they will tune in to give it a shot, but aren't too optimistic about the entire situation. The hosts openly ponder the current situation of D'Angelo Russell. Furthermore, are concerned that Magic Johnson gave up on the young guard far too soon (Joseph also fears Magic might be West Coast Phil Jackson). If you can rewrite any TV show or movie and save a character that was previously killed off, who would it be and why? If a food were president, would pizza be the leader of the free world and corn be the vice president? This was likely our most hotly debated part of the podcast. You can follow Jared on the mean streets of Twitter @JMintzHoops. The other guy is over @JosephNardone.
