What can we learn from Ellen Page's story? After renewed public attention surrounding her casting in The Odyssey, we examine some of the claims being made by her about gender, masculinity, and nature. More importantly, we look beyond the obvious logical flaws to the tragedy of a woman who has endured pain and trauma. Ellen has clearly been searching for freedom. She wants to be born again. But pretending to be a man is not going to achieve that.
