Bingo
from ConBERTAciones · host Berta P. Weyenberg
Bingo is a simple game. Each player receives a different card, and as the caller announces one number after another, everyone searches to see if they have a match. The goal is to complete a row before anyone else. Then someone joyfully calls out, "Bingo!"Life is a little like that. Each of us has been given a different card. Different experiences. Different strengths. Different wounds. Different stories. And as life begins calling things out, we search ourselves, wondering if we have what is needed for the moment standing before us.Sometimes we do.Sometimes life calls out joy, and we recognize it immediately. Sometimes it calls out opportunity, strength, love, or hope… and somehow, we already carry the answer within us.But there are other moments…Moments when life calls something we do not have the card for. Loss. Unexpected pain. Fear. Illness. Loneliness. The kind of moments that leave us staring silently, unable to respond. And the real question is:What do we do when life calls for something we are not prepared to answer? That is where faith enters.Because faith begins where our own answers end. When there is no matching card, no strategy, no explanation, no visible solution… faith quietly steps forward and says,"Keep going anyway."If you have built a circle of prayer warriors, friends, sisters, brothers— people who know how to hold faith for someone else— those are the moments when they begin lifting you up.They pray when you cannot. They believe when your strength feels small. They remind you that your story is not over. And little by little, through grace, through love, through the voices of others carrying you forward, you make it to the final word.Maybe not "Bingo."Hopefully..."Amen.”
