from ItsKayToBeKaren Season 1 · host shruti_kx
In one of our most honest and transparent podcasts that we have had in our podcast journey, Doreen Patel shares her journey from her high school in Gujarat to now her university education in Canada. She is working towards her Biology Honors program as well as working towards her completion of her Biological Research Certification. While working towards her program, she has been working in her research on living plants and was kind to share some of her knowledge with us. As we get to learn about her a little bit more, we learn about her experiences as a Student Ambassador, Peer Mentor as well as the Gujarati Student Association. I myself have always wondered how it would feel to be speaking in Gujarati and a huge shout out to Doreen for teaching me a few of those words and making it my first! It was a great time conversing with Doreen and learning about the great work that she is working and the heights that she would be achieving.
