    An aspiring PhD candidate | Journey From Investment Analyst to Computer Scientist | Planning is Key

    Mehdi Khalaj, who is working towards his PhD thesis and has made his debut as a lecturer for the CMPT 280 classes this Summer. His journey began back in Iran where he worked as an Investment and Risk Analyst. Later, when moving to Canada, he transitioned into becoming a student once again but in the Computer Science field. After accomplishing his Computer Science Bachelor’s degree, he went ahead to finish his Master’s through the Accelerated program. Currently, he is doing his PhD with Quantum Bioinformatics. In our conversations with him, we learnt a lot about his plans for the future, how he manages his time and what he plans to do after his education.     Vidhi Jangla, is our new guest for this week and she shares her insights on being a Edwards Business Student specializing in Accounting. Going into her fourth year of education, she has experience working in an Audit, Tax, Advisory company in KPMG Canada. Her journey began here as an international student and today, she is working towards her completion of her Co-Op Program and will be returning back to the company after her graduation.
