On the evening of Saturday November 13, 2021, while Kendra was overseas with the Black Ferns, her sister and brother-in-law in Taranaki were dealing with the tragic news that their 18-year-old son, Jordy had drowned in the Waiwhakaiho River.Speaking to media at the time about her sons passing, Kendras sister Nic said:“He was just one of a kind. He was so loveable, so witty. Life without him is going to be dim. We still are broken, and we will be for a long time. I’m dreading the rest of my life to be fair.”In this poignant bite size clip taken from our full conversation, Kendra reflects on Jordy and how she managed her own grief while being stuck in MIQ, away from her family.It was an incredibly difficult thing to talk about so I can’t thank Kendra enough for being so open.Dom Hosted on Acast.
