Bite sized follow up: Reagan E J Jackson

Because it's been a year since we recorded Hinton Cast, we're offering every author to have a follow up conversation with us. We want to catch you up on what they have been up to, and chat with these delightful people one more time! These episodes come with minimal editing, so we can record them and then quickly turn around and put them on our feeds. In this episode, we dive into the complexities of resilience, joy, and the narratives we create around strength. Join Maggie Block as they interview the incredible Reagan Jackson and she explores the importance of joy in movements of resistance, the expectations placed on Black women, and the delicate balance of humanizing characters like Coriolanus Snow in "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes." With insights into DIY residencies and the power of literature, this conversation challenges us to rethink the systems we uphold and the stories we tell. Support The Black Womxn to Rest and Repair Retreat and Cohort Books: "Save the Cat!
