Black Metal (No Music Segments)

from Distortion Dads: A Metal Podcast · host Distortion Dads: A Metal Podcast

On this episode, the Distortion Dads look at one of the most infamous subgenres in all of metal.  A subgenre surrounded by controversy and corpse paint.  We look at 8 genre defining bands who were all a part of a second wave of the subgenre.  What bands did we choose? One has put out 19 albums but hasn’t played live in almost 30 years.  Another band had one of the most influential EPs, but because of turmoil surrounding the band, their debut album came out 7 years later.  We introduce 6 new-to-us bands, one of which has less than 100 monthly Spotify listeners and another who’s theme involves a World War.  We end the episode with listener reactions to 14 of our DDDDs that we read aloud to each other.  All that and more as we introduce you to… Black Metal!
