Black Restaurant Week Celebrates 10 Years With Return to Atlanta

The latest episode of BC Food News, hosted by Jennifer English, celebrates Black Restaurant Week's ninth year in Atlanta, with expanded support from local municipal bodies and Stella Artois. Running from August 3 to 17, this initiative shines a spotlight on Black-owned culinary businesses, offering community celebration and marketing support. In previous years, it has generated 75 million dollars in economic impact for the city. Despite the increasing challenges faced by restaurateurs, the initiative, founded in 2016, has supported over 5,000 chefs, caterers, food trucks, and restaurateurs nationwide. This year also sees the debut of the Bites & Birdies Golf Tournament to raise funds for underrepresented students in the culinary and business fields.
