Blackeout Rebellion: The Message of Hip Hop
from Blackeout Radio · host Blackeout Radio
Do not change your website: that first minute is part of the show. In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the Berkeley Free Speech Movement, I've dedicated an entire half-hour to hip-hop with a message. Tonight a slew of revolutionary rappers-Public Enemy, N.W.A, Tupac, and Digable Planets-headline the show, while a guest from Youth Radio drops by and gives his two cents on the state of hip-hop. A special dedication goes out to my English teacher for actually letting me write a whole paper about this subject...I swear man, you're the best there is. Unfortunately, this will be the last Blackeout Show for a while, as I have many other endeavors to focus on. Don't think I forgot about cha though...my mind is open, my cell is on, and I'm ready to come back whenever you want me to come back. The Blackeout will live on...trust me. The Complete Playlist: Speech by Mario Savio Fight The Power (Public Enemy) Holla If You Hear Me (Tupac) 100 Miles and Runnin' (NWA) La Femme Fetal (Digable Planets)
