Jesus calls His followers to be peacemakers—not people who simply avoid conflict, but people who actively pursue reconciliation and restoration in their relationships with God and others. Unresolved conflict can hinder our relationship with God, affect our prayers, and ultimately hurt us more than anyone else. Scripture calls us to forgive, seek reconciliation, and live at peace with others as far as it depends on us. Becoming a peacemaker begins with knowing the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. When we experience His peace, we are called to reflect it in the way we respond to conflict and treat others.
