Blessed are Those Who Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness

March 14, 2020 sermon by Darrell Jung from the Beatitudes series. What have you hungered for this week as the Caronavirus impacts the world around us? Is it toilet paper, food, assurance that illness won’t creep into your city or won’t touch your loved ones? Jesus hungered and thirsted so much for God’s will, He said it was His food. He is the ultimate example of hungering for and pursuit of personal righteousness. As followers of Him, we should be characterized by having a craving for righteousness. As His followers, we can trust that His will for our lives isn’t necessarily personal happiness, ease, or safety. True happiness and blessing come from righteousness.
