Blessed are we who have not seen and yet Believe!
from Sunday Homilies with the Redemptorists · host Novena Church
Today as Divine Mercy Sunday, assures us that God offers us freely his gift of mercy, through Jesus Christ. It is a gratuitous gift of God - If one has to deserve mercy, then it cannot be mercy at all. And having experienced God’s mercy, we also extend mercy to our fellow man.The readings are a witness of the mercy of God. In the gospel, Jesus shows Thomas mercy, by reappearing and showing his wounds. The glorified Jesus still has wounds, reminding us that Jesus is still participating in our humanity and blessed are we who have not seen and yet believe. We, like Thomas, profess our faith, but we have to be mindful on how we are going to translate what we profess, to how we live our lives.- Sunday Homily by Fr. Antony Charles, C.Ss.R. (12 April 2026)
