Blog 20 - Showing Grace When It's Hard - Christian Girl Chronicles
from Christian Girl Chronicles with Alicia Sam · host Alicia Sam
Welcome back everyone!Let’s be honest. It’s easy to extend grace when the offence is light. Like when someone steps on your toe in the bus. It may hurt a bit, but it doesn’t take much to give that person a pardon and let it go right? But what about when the offence is done by a friend, a partner, a sibling, a parent, or a mentor? What if the offence is malicious and intended to hurt you? What if the person doesn’t even seem sorry for their actions, could you give them a pardon in the same way, as the toe stomper? Moment of truth. God has been doing some major renovations on my heart in the last couple of months and one of the things He has made uncomfortably clear to me is how much I struggle with showing grace. It hasn’t been the easiest thing to acknowledge because in doing so, I am also exposing the parts of me that I’d rather remain hidden… the parts of me that…well…don’t look like God. But one thing that I am learning is that God is more concerned about my growth, than He is about my comfort. So, if you’re like me and truly struggle in this area, I invite you to check out today's blog, “Showing Grace When It’s Hard”. I pray that it blesses you.
