BLOG: My Why: God: heartless or heartbroken?

Nice small topic today, I thought I'd tackle God and suffering. Nice easy, non-contentious subject there then!  I've never really struggled with the whole 'how can there be a God when there's so much suffering?' question, and in this episode I've tried to explain, in my own way, why. I find it fascinating that suffering pushes some people away from the idea of a God, and some people towards Him. Why is that? I think a lot of the answers are found in the Easter story, so when better to try and explore it, than on Good Friday.Which side of the fence are you on? Is God heartless and impervious to our suffering?
