Bloody Attack And Attempted Hijacking Thwarted By Hero Pilot And Passengers

Quick and brave actions by the captain of Flydubai flight 1073 and several of its passengers averted a deadly disaster, saving the lives of more than 170 people on board a flight headed from Dubai to Tel Aviv on Wednesday. The investigation is ongoing, but the details of what happened mid-air are nothing short of remarkable. A co-pilot who has now been detained, reportedly began stabbing the captain in an attempt to crash the plane. While being attacked, the captain was able to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers to rush in, neutralize the co-pilot and stabilize the plane that had dropped more than 17 thousand feet in less than two minutes. While it’s unclear whether this was an orchestrated terror attack, it is clear that the actions of a few, saved the lives of everyone on board. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
