Episode 11: Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut Bourbon Whiskey Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut Bourbon Whiskey is a uniquely-crafted beverage that embodies the rhythmic pulse of the blues and the vibrant spirit of the juke joint. Produced by the acclaimed Memphis-based B.R. Distilling Company, whose mission is to create premium, exciting, and authentic southern-made whiskeys, it excels in reflecting the heart and soul of its Southern roots. This uncut, unfiltered bourbon is made according to artisanal distillation methods to create its sumptuous character. It boasts an impressively high proof, often lingering around the 118-120 mark, offering a bold and robust flavor profile that is an homage to the musical heritage it symbolizes. The uncut nature of the liquid ensures perennial complexity, a depth of flavor, and robustness, making it a bourbon of distinction. Key to its inviting flavor profile is Blue Note Juke Joint’s meticulous production process. Made from a blend of corn, rye, and malted barley, and aged in charred American Oak barrels, it imparts notes of rich caramel, oak, dried fruit, and spices with a hint of tobacco and leather on the nose. This bourbon is prized for its full-bodied, bold and distinctly smooth finish, characterized by an appealingly long-lasting warmth. Celebrating the spirit of Memphis, Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut Bourbon Whiskey is not just a testament to superior bourbon craftsmanship but also an embodiment of a vibrant cultural history. Each sip is a harmonious blend of bold uncut bourbon and the raw, rhythmic energy of the blues – a memento of the infamous Juke Joints and their significance in the evolution of blues music and culture.
