Bobby Grier- The 1st African-American to play in the "Sugar Bowl" 1956

Bobby Grier was the first African American to played in the Sugar Bowl. In 1956 segregationist tried to stop the Pittsburgh Panther from playing in the game. The country came to together and Bobby Grier became a trail blazer for USA sports.
