Recently, Lorri and Becky welcomed back Angela Witwer is a Democratic Michigan state representative known for her long-standing community involvement, healthcare background and leadership in state budgeting. Before entering politics, Witwer spent 22 years in clinical health care at Sparrow Hospital, working in the burn unit, pediatric rehabilitation, and later in community relations and marketing. Witwer was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2018 and currently represents the 76th District, which includes much of Eaton County. She has served as chair of the House Appropriations Committee, overseeing Michigan’s state budget. Her advocacy has earned national recognition, including the 2021 NAFCU Paul Revere Award and the 2023 Habitat for Humanity of Michigan Advocate of the Year Award. Rebecca has served on numerous advisory boards, including Habitat for Humanity of Michigan, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Inclusiv, and the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan. Her recent work includes helping establish a Michigan CDFI fund that delivered nearly $100 million to credit unions, generating a billion‑dollar impact for low‑ and moderate‑income residents. She also partnered with Habitat for Humanity to create an innovative mortgage product expanding access to homeownership. ● You’ve spent 25 years shaping policy across Michigan.
