Bonus | Dahmer

I watched Dahmer, and I think Evan Peters did an excellent job channelling him. It was lacking lustre, almost like it was missing something. Other than the gory crimes and the beer not sure what else happened. I will give credit where it's due and say that one thing this film achieved was making a point that he got away based on three things sociological,  racial and homosexual. Sociologically the police did nothing because he was a white blonde male. So how could he ever be a killer? Racially- the people he went after were mostly Asian and black, and their lives have always been undervalued. Then homosexuality, reporting a homosexual crime back then and today, had people discounting your story and victim shaming you. Therefore, many lives could have been saved if the system did its job and put its stereotypes to bed. In pop culture, his name is never mentioned because of those things but also because of cannibalism which people find to be gross, and yes, it is that he ate his victims. But it is crucial people keep their victims in mind because this is an excellent example of how a person assaulted a boy and got a slap on the wrist. After all, he is white. He was so confident that he transcended into a murderer but also a cannibal, where the police escorted his victims into his home.
