BONUS: Preserving family legacies with Jodi Bondy

from Love After Lullabies · host Miranda + Aaron

In this engaging BONUS episode, Jodi Bondi shares her journey from studying biology to becoming a professional photo organizer. She discusses the importance of preserving family memories, the emotional challenges of sorting through photos, and the impact of social media on privacy. Jodi also highlights her experiences as an EMT and offers valuable insights on safeguarding family legacies in the digital age. Guest Bio: Jodi Bondy has always been a bit of a trailblazer. She hates to allow a situation or problem get the best of her. While growing up, Jodi pushed the boundaries when it came to academics, sports and even being the oldest of 2 girls in her family. Jodi went to college and studied Biology but her dream job never materialized. She got married, moved with her husband from Michigan to South Carolina and they started a family. Several years later, they moved to Indiana and that is where she is still. Their 3 grown daughters are all married, within an hour drive, and are raising 7 grandchildren. Jodi went back to school and received her Secondary Education certificate. She worked in public schools, private schools and at the university level for many years. As education was changing Jodi decided she would pursue a new avenue – helping others to save their photos and memories. She had been scrapbooking part time, and this new venture fed right into her wheelhouse. Besides her career in education, Jodi has also been in public safety as an EMT for 46 years. She uses her skills from years of listening to patients to delve into the projects of her photo clients. And that does include HIPAA (when you have some photos that might require discreet handling). In 2014 Jodi started her own business and continues today working with clients on their family history and legacy. She loves hearing the stories, solving the puzzles of missing data and helping people to find connections. Learning new technology and keeping up with the ever changing world of photos contributes to a lot of the work she does behind the scenes.
