Boomer and The Babe Present - Susan Braverman
from The Boomer and The Babe Radio Network · host Deborah Louise Brown
Susan Braverman is a life coach specializing in working with Boomers who are in transition or planning The Next Stage of their lives. She finds that "retirement" doesn't really fit what people are looking for; rather they are finishing their first career, emptying their nests (mostly) and interested in finding something to do with the rest of their lives that has meaning for them. "This time it's for me," is something she often hears. Many, of course, have concerns about finances and whether they will be able to manage either without the regular paycheck or with reduced income. Or they have plenty of money and need to consider the many other elements of building a satisfying life: location, social relationships, closeness to (or distance from) family, health, recreation, etc. One couple said , "All our friends are moving away either to Florida or to be closer to their kids, and we find we are having to make new friends somehow. How do we do that at our age? Our social circle has really dwindled." Join us as we discuss some different aspects of the new retirement.
