Richard Ambrosius is the principal at Positive Aging®and serves as VP of Outreach and Group Programs for NeoCORTA, an online brain fitness company. Prior to joining NeoCORTA, he served two national senior living development and management companies as VP for Marketing/ Communications. In 1976, he began a career in aging as Executive Director of a not-for-profit Area Agency on Aging in Northwest Iowa. In 1980, President Reagan appointed Dick as the youngest member of the National Advisory Committee to the 1981 White House Conference on Aging where he delivered a keynote address on rural aging. In 1982, he founded one of the first full-service marketing firms to specialize in older markets, and has conducted presentations in 49 states and consulted with a variety of Fortune 500 companies, corporations, nonprofits, associations and government agencies. In 1997, he was selected “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Entrepreneur Magazine. Ambrosius has authored numerous articles, booklets such as The Art of the Positive, and most recently Choices & Changes…a positive aging guide to life planning. He holds both BA and MA degrees in Political Science and is a decorated Viet Nam veteran. For 18 years, he has coordinated twice annual meetings of The Society, a think tank group of 50 leading edge aging professionals or thought leaders from medicine, marketing, caregiving, public relations, senior living, advertising, housing, publications, event planning and education.
