Born of the Flesh? Born of the Spirit?#1 When we become born again, we receive a new spirit birthed by the Holy Spirit.#2 Our flesh is the remnant of something that has already died. #3 Scripture teaches us to walk by the Spirit, live by the Spirit, and keep in step with the Spirit. (Gal 5:25)#4 We need to stop making peace with our flesh and kill it instead. (Rom 8:13)#5 You can only have victory over sin by the Spirit. (Rom 8:13)#6 Fruits of the flesh are the flesh-born emotions of enmity, envy, and fits of anger.#7 It is a mistake to only associate emotions with fleshly desire. #8 Fruits of the Spirit are the Spirit-born emotions of love, joy, and peace.#9 We must ask the Holy Spirit, "What is the source of my emotions?"#10 You are commissioned to discern the moment you believe.#11 We must fix the eyes of our heart on Jesus and let living water flow from our spirit. #12 Jesus lived a supernatural life, and he has called us to do the same.
