Matthew 16:21-28From the time that Peter confessed Jesus’ true identity, Jesus began to reveal the fact that He would suffer and die.Peter did not listen to the last words in Matthew 16:21.A mind that is without God cannot deal properly with death.Why do humans think this way, and why did Jesus refer to Peter as Satan?John 3:13-16, 12:32-34The devil has deceived humans concerning death. John 16:1-7, John 14:15-18 Jesus was God with us, the Holy Spirit is God in us.The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us and is still working in the world today.The Holy Spirit, God in us, helps us to establish God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:4-9 Peter, preaching in the power of the Holy Spirit, experienced the reality of the Holy Spirit, God in us.Sin and idols can weigh us down and trip us up as we strive to run the race that God has for us.Hebrews 12:1-2 The Holy Spirit strengthens us to endure trials and suffering.Acts 7:54-58 , 2nd Timothy 1:6-8 As followers of Jesus and the way of the cross, our goal must be faithfulness and to bring God glory no matter the cost.

Matthew 8:28-34The demon-possessed men were violent and had supernatural strength. Mark 5:3-5The demons recognized Jesus. James 2:19Demons are aware of their final fate. Mark 5:7, Luke 8:28Demons seek a body to inhabit. Matthew 12:43-45Demons always attempt to drive their hosts to destructive behavior. John 10:10Eyewitnesses confirmed how the possessed man was delivered.Mark 5:16The displaced demons caused the entire town to make a bad, illogical decision to ask Jesus to leave. Mark 5:17The newly-delivered disciple told everyone what Jesus had done for him. Mark 5:20Holy lives have no room for the devil or his demons!

John 20:1-18, 1 Corinthians 15:12-22If there is no resurrection, the road through the grave is a dead-end road with no outlet.The ditches of the road through the grave are fertilized with forgiven sin.The road through the grave has been travelled by other resurrected holy people.Matthew 27:50-53The road through the grave has been travelled by many eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8The road through the grave leads to a perfect, indescribable, weedless garden cared for by the master gardener, Jesus! John 20:14-16, Genesis 2:15, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22Are you on the road to the grave or the road through the grave?

2nd Corinthians 7The Apostle Paul told the Corinthians to cleanse their bodies and spirits because God had promised to be with them.The Corinthian culture was filled with contaminants harmful to Christians.Paul loved the Corinthians.True Christian love contains correction.Godly sorrow caused the Corinthian church to repent and remain in God’s grace.Jesus is the only remedy for worldly sorrow.Titus experienced the fruit of repentance in the Corinthian church and told Paul about it.Paul was comforted by the report Titus brought to him about the Corinthians.What kind of report is there about you?What kind of report is there about Mt. Acts 2:1-21God’s temples were always meant to be a place for God’s presence and glory.Exodus 40:34-38, 2 Chronicles 7:1-3, Ezekiel 43:1-7, Haggai 2:1-9On the first Pentecost, after Jesus resurrection, God’s presence and glory entered and empowered the disciples.People, not a place, became temples of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20The promise of the Holy Spirit is meant to build God’s kingdom. Acts 2:37-47It is not about the gifts!People filled with the Holy Spirit are saved and selfless. Deuteronomy 15:7-11Are you a temple of the Holy Spirit?
