A leading advocate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The American Heart Association and Safety in Sports, Merril is an active contributor to shaping the communications regarding head trauma in all sports.  He is also the chairman of the board of the Caring Place, a center for grieving children and their families that have lost a loved one, and the author of Find A Way: Three Words That Changed My Life. Merril also wrote a book called, "Brainwashed" challenging the science behind CTE, and the what he deems the plot to destroy Football. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me." We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation.
