Bramble Men

Jotham’s parable warns what happens when productive people refuse power and bramble men seize it instead (Judg. 9). The olive, fig, and vine were busy producing good fruit; the bramble only wanted rule and threatened destruction if others would not submit. So it is today. Bramble men hate producers and seek power by restraining, harming, or controlling those who actually create and sustain life. The issue is stark: will producers be ruled by thorns, or will the power of the bramble be overthrown? Like it or not, we are all on the firing line. The only question is which side are you on?
