Wide receiver Zachariah Branch and safety Zion Branch both were slated to play major roles on this team in 2025, but neither will be wearing Cardinal and Gold going forward after they put their names in the NCAA Transfer Portal. With Zachariah's departure, all four five-star players recruited by Lincoln Riley from the 2022 and 2023 classes have now left the program: Branch, cornerback Domani Jackson, wide receiver Duce Robinson and quarterback Malachi Nelson.USC will also be on the market to hire a new offensive line coach and offensive coordinator with Josh Henson departing to join Barry Odom at Purdue. Henson will be the offensive coordinator for the Boilermakers but unlike his role at USC, he will be the primary play caller at Purdue. The guys talk about Riley's decision to hire from within, promoting tight ends coach Zach Hanson to be the Trojans new offensive line coach. They also discuss the other players that hit the portal and some of the candidates to fill the open linebacker coaching spot.CLICK HERE for 50% OFF an annual VIP membership to USCFootball.com! Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! Thanks to Trader Joe's for sponsoring the Peristyle Podcast!Make sure you check out USCFootball.com for complete coverage of this USC Trojan football team.
