Cy: Roedd hi'n ddiwrnod oer yn y gaeaf, pan oedd y gwynt yn chwythu creulon trwy'r campws.
En: It was a cold winter day when the wind was cruelly blowing through the campus.

Cy: Roedd y cynfasau eira yn rhoi golwg hudolus, ond brawychus, i'r lle.
En: The blankets of snow gave the place a magical but eerie appearance.

Cy: Roedd Carys a Dafydd, dau fyfyriwr prifysgol, yn sefyll o flaen drws eu hostel.
En: Carys and Dafydd, two university students, were standing in front of their hostel door.

En: "You must not ignore the benefit of individual effort," said Carys, giving a faint nudge to his shoulder.

En: "No, others might, but I appreciate learning from every certainty," responded Dafydd.

En: The two went inside to the shelter, grateful for the warmth and cover.

En: They sat by the damp desk, Dafydd began writing his essay while Carys ordered lunch through her phone.
