Brian Crombie Radio Hour - Epi 1084 - The ArriveCan Scandal and the State of Governance with David McLaughlin

from Brian Crombie Radio Hour · host NEWSTALK Sauga 960 AM

Brian speaks with David McLaughlin. David is President and CEO of the Institute on Governance, an independent not-for-profit organization focused on public sector governance. He has extensive public service experience including as Clerk of the Executive Council and Cabinet Secretary in Manitoba, Deputy Minister of Policy and Planning in New Brunswick, and as Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs in both provinces. David has also served on the political side as Chief of Staff to federal finance minister Jim Flaherty and in the Prime Minister’s Office as Chief of Staff to Brian Mulroney. He believes ArriveCan is not a "one-off" incident but an example of something deeper and broader wrong in the federal public service.
