Previously, he spent 5 years on Parliament Hill, first as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Leader of the Official Opposition and later he was promoted to Director of Policy and Parliamentary Affairs. Before politics, Hendrik served as the Chief Economist at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Hendrik holds a Master of Public Policy and International Affairs, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
