The Ford government can take credit for deregulating housing markets, improving transportation infrastructure and reducing Ontario’s debt-GDP ratio over the past seven years. But other indicators have disappointed. Business investment has fallen dreadfully in the past five years, plagued by over-regulation and a non-competitive personal and corporate tax system. Cutting taxes on beer and sending out rebates doesn’t address that.”
