He previously served as deputy minister to B.C.’s premier, cabinet secretary and head of the public service. Don talks about his article: "The Canadian Promise is Broken.” He writes: “Canada’s performance in terms of generating steady, year-over-year increases in real wages fell off dramatically after the late 1970s, how housing has become essentially unaffordable for most younger Canadians, and how this has led to a high degree of pessimism about the prospects for the next generation.”
