Prior to then he had held a series of positions in economic research, mostly at the federal Department of Finance. Aled has a PhD in economics from Western University, London, and was born in Richmond Hill, but grew up in Wales. The main questions we discuss relate to the housing market: why should we worry about housing affordability, what has been driving house prices and interest rates, government restrictions and the economy?
