Brian Linton- Co-Founder of Ferncrest!

from Who Knew In The Moment? · host Phil Friedrich

Over the last 18 years, I’ve built and scaled businesses in some of the most competitive industries. In 2006, I started an import business from my dorm room that was generating $1mm/year in revenue by the time I was 20. By 2010, I co-founded United By Blue, a pioneering mission-driven apparel brand that grew to $20mm in revenue before it was acquired. While the acquisition wasn’t the financial win I had hoped for, it ignited a desire to build something more transformational. In 2020, I jumped into the hospitality space, acquiring a rundown motel in the mountains of Pennsylvania at the height of the pandemic. What started as a risky move turned into The Rex Hotel, a highly rated boutique stay with 400+ five-star reviews. That experience fueled my passion for outdoor hospitality and led me to acquire an old campground in 2022, which I reopened as Ferncrest in 2023. With a focus on glamping and creating unique nature experiences, Ferncrest quickly garnered rave reviews and a viral online following.Today, I’m on a mission to make Ferncrest the premier outdoor hospitality brand, with the goal to open 100 locations in the next 5 years, through a franchise model that allows others to transform their own land into thriving glampgrounds. We’re building a movement, and I’m sharing that journey with 600k+ followers on social media via our behind-the-scenes account @findingpromisedland. → If you’re interested in partnering with us to develop your own Ferncrest location, or if you have a campground that needs new life (or a new owner!), let’s talk.
