BRIDGET BARDOT

from TICK TOCK ROCK

This is a song I wrote about Bridget Bardot the sixties blond bombshell who became a French superstar, termed by President de Gaulle as being as important a French export as the Renault car company. She was a French icon of beauty, worshipped and beloved, as important as Joan of Arc. She was a ballerina beauty from the Paris Conservatoire, a child prodigy and one of only six students accepted. At the height of her fame, she turned her back on everything and everyone to live as a total recluse in a fisherman’s cottage in Saint-Tropez, with only her rescued pets and a bottle of Pétrus for company.
