Bright Star

--(C) 2020 Jim Valero (All rights reserved). Bright Star Silently coming The dawn Through your eyes The snow slowly Melting Beyond in the sky And as you rise up With dreams In your mind The girl in the photograph Jumps through your heart Bright Star, light up My life again Bright Star, give me Your love again There’s cold in the air But the sun’s In her smile You send her a thought and then you start to float And as you slowly Begin To descend The girl in the photograph Hides in your heart Bright Star, light up My life again Bright Star, give me Your love again Softly the wind Caresses Your skin Your hair freely Floating The clouds in your head And as you slowly Look into Your mind The girl in the photograph Is born in your heart Bright Star, light up My life again Bright Star, give me Your love again. —Jim Valero, November 22, 1982.
