Good day to you and I'm so glad that you have tuned in to the bringing to light program. It's always a joy to come your way with God's wonderful word. And Lord has been laying some things upon my heart and I want to share these things with you. So I trust that you'll have a Bible there nearby.
We'll look at some scriptures together. As always I encourage listeners of the word of God to take notes, things that you can look back at a later time. And I often find that God will send people across your path that you can minister to when you've heard truth through a particular ministry. So I always want to encourage you to do that.
There are some things that we want to share with you today that maybe you've never heard before but I believe it'll be a blessing to you. Shontai has a special word for you first. So listen carefully to her. Hello, I'm Shontai Hoffman.
There is no greater love than the love from our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. We know in John 3 16 says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. In verse 17 it says that, God did not come to condemn the world, but to come to love us and to give His life for us. We know in Romans in chapter 10 and verse 9, it says that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord.
And believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and is with your mouth that you confess that you are saved. God wants you to give your life to Him today.
He loves you so much. And there is nothing like knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord. He will give you that peace and that joy in your heart that you need. And it promises us that He will give us eternal life.
And we know in Ephesians, it says Ephesians chapter 2 and verse 8, for it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God. It's nothing that we can do in ourself and who we are. But this is a gift that God has given to us, that we can have eternal life.
And it's by His grace and His love. Please pray a prayer with me today and ask Jesus to be your Lord and to be your Savior. Father, we come to you in Jesus' name. And Father, I come and I ask you to be my Lord, to be my Savior.
I ask you to cleanse me and purify me from all sin. I ask you to forgive me for anything all that I have done. And Lord, I ask you to come into my heart to be my Lord and to be my Savior. In Jesus' holy name, amen.
We'll praise the Lord. We know in verse 13 of Romans 9, it says, Call upon the Lord and you will be saved. So as you have called upon the Lord today, I believe that you have received Jesus and you have been saved and that you will spend eternity in heaven with me. We'll praise the Lord.
Please call or write to us and let us know what God has done for you today. Thank you. We'll praise the Lord. Again, I hope you have your Bibles and we're going to look today at Matthew 12.
And then I'm going to begin reading in verse 22. Then was brought unto him, one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb. And he healed him in so much that the blind and the dumb both spake and saw. Now I want you to notice why we're here, that we are seeing a demonic work in an individual who causes two infirmities.
Notice again, he was dumb, but as the Lord healed him, he was able to speak. We see that he was blind, but he was able to see. Now, let me say this to you just because a person has an infirmity, that does not necessarily mean they have a demonic spirit. We need discernment when we are praying for individuals with different things going on in their bodies in their life.
So with the discernment, Jesus knew that there was a demonic presence involved in this particular person's life. Verse 23, and all the people were amazed and said, it's not this, the son of David. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, this fella does not cast out devils, but by the elves above the prince of the devils. Now, I want to pause right here just a moment because I want you to see that the mighty miracle, the working of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ delivered the man where again, he was able to speak and he was able to see because the demonic spirit was demanded to lose him and let him go.
But I want us to focus in, if you will, on the word the elves above. Now, that's a strange name, but the elves above here, they are saying to the people, he is doing this good work, if you will, but the power of a demonic spirit or by Satan. Now, that would be ridiculous. We know what Satan does.
He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus comes to give life and to give it more abundantly. So we know their accusation is so not true. Now, let's think about the word be elves above a moment.
I'm going to read on verse 25, and Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation at every city or house divided against itself. Shall not stand. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself. How shall then his kingdom stand?
So in other words, Jesus is saying, I have done a good work here. What would it be if I was operating by the power of Satan, cast in out the devil, yet the devil is the one that calls this affliction. I cast out the devil. Jesus is saying that does not make sense.
Satan is not going to work through an individual then to bring deliverance. Why? Because that would call Satan's kingdom or the kingdom of darkness to be divided. And I by the elves above cast out devils, if that's the case, Jesus is sending by whom do your children cast them out.
Therefore, they shall be your judges. In other words, there have been those that have done the miracles before. And if they were able to cast out demons, did they also cast them out by the power of the elves above or by Satan? But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
So Jesus is saying the kingdom of God, the very presence of who God is, is here in the midst of you. And he is the one who is operating through me that this deliverance has taken place. Now, we look at the word again, Beelzebub. We think, well, that's just another name for Satan, the devil, demons.
But it's interesting to see when you begin to research the word Beelzebub, it literally means Lord of the flies. Now, you know, this was something that the enemy wanted to do for a long time when he was even in heaven with Jesus. You know, he had all the instruments within. He was the lead worshipper.
And I'd say he could sing and play instruments all at the same time. And what a glorious position that was given to him. But we know what happened. He began to feel good about himself.
He began to feel proud. And he's thinking, you know, I want to be greater than God. I want my throne to be exalted above God. And we know what happened.
He literally was able to influence, if you will, many of the angels to the point that one third of them followed Lucifer. And we know the scripture that Lucifer was cast to the earth with all of those demonic spirits. So we wonder where all this darkness is coming from. Well, it's coming from Lucifer.
We now call him Satan. And we know he has many names that he has referred to in scripture. One of them again is being deceiver. But I want us to focus right now on this terminology of Beelzebub or Lord of the flies.
So, yes, Satan wanted to be a Lord. And you know what scripture allows him to be. But I want you to notice he's called Lord of the flies. Now, I don't know if you know very much about a fly, but I can pretty much believe that you don't want flies sitting around on your food.
They're nasty. And when you begin to study, you can just really see how nasty that they are. You know, I can find a fly in my house, especially when I had little children and, you know, I'm going to get out my flyswatter. Or I'm going to at least open up the storm door and I'm going to shoot him out because I don't want him in my house.
And all of you, I'm sure that if tuned in today, you have eaten outside, whether it's a picnic or just maybe going to a restaurant and she's in a table outside. But you know, in certain months of the years, the flies can be so annoying. You know, they can buzz around and you can shoot them and shoot them, but they were trying to land on your food. When I was a little girl, I used to tear off a piece of the bread from my hamburger bun.
And I'd let it to the side and I'd say, now flies, you can have this, but leave my burger alone. Well, of course that didn't work. But as a child, I thought it might. But they're nasty.
When I began to look at this, I also began to think about the Lord of the flies. Again, when I was a young girl, my dad and my mother, my sister, and I oftentimes would be invited to people's homes to eat lunch after church. I remember one particular time we went to a house and at this particular place, they did not have screen doors. We didn't have store doors and I'm not telling you my age today, but they had screen doors.
We had a screen door at the front and also at the back. So when you went out that door would be on the spring and the door would come shut. And that was just an extra protection to keep out any flying bugs that might come in when you opened the wooden door. But we went to this house and because they didn't have screens on the door and there were many children at that place and they would run in and out and run in and out.
And I noticed how many flies was inside the house. I was amazed. I mean, I looked and they were sitting on the ceiling of a kitchen everywhere just flying around trying to get on the food that was prepared. So even as a little girl, I knew I didn't want those flies to come near me.
Well, yes, the flies are annoying. And we know that Satan and his demons, they are annoying. I continue to begin to look at what flies are about. Now, I don't want to be vulgar on my TV program, but they poop and they vomit everywhere they land.
Now, I don't know if you knew that or not, but it especially made me gross out when I think about flies. What else do flies do? Well, you sure don't want them to go unchecked in your house because if they find food that's just sitting there, they will go and they will literally lay their eggs in that food. Now, what is the intent of that?
Well, we know that eggs will eventually mature and then you're going to have larva that comes from those eggs and we call those maggots. Now, I'd say everyone of you have heard the terminology of maggots and their nasty and they will eat up whatever's around them. It can be food, but it can be worse things. So we look at flies and we're thinking that is something I don't want all my food and I don't want them in my house.
But again, the scripture is saying here that Satan is Lord over the flies. So when we begin to think, how is this working in the scripture that we are seeing? We're talking about the Elzebub. The Elzebub was a Philistine God worshiped in the ancient Philistine city of Echron during the Old Testament times.
You know, Jesus tells us in John 10 in verse 10, the thief, we know that is the devil. He cometh not but brought to steal to kill and destroy. But Jesus said, I've come that they might have life and they may have it more abundantly. So anything that Satan does, you can know that it is to steal, kill and destroy.
Flies also can carry disease. So this is what the enemy is about. He wants to lay if you will his eggs into individuals lives. Now, we're going to look at what is the devil?
What is he sowing into people's lives that would be similar to the fly? Well, again, we know he wants to steal. He wants to kill anyone's to destroy. Yes, he wants to take all men and women, boys and girls to hell.
But his own is not a threat to the kingdom of darkness. If he's going to attack, generally speaking, he is going to attack the child of God that carries the light of Jesus Christ. The Bible calls Satan as we have already mentioned a deceiver, Genesis 3 and 13. He said, then the Lord God said to the woman, what is this that you have done?
We know that's when she took the forbidden fruit. And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me and deceived me and I ate from the forbidden tree. She was deceived by the serpent. The Bible is very clear that it wasn't so much Adam that was deceived.
He knew what he was doing, but she did not. And I think that makes a difference in the whole thing of that story. But yet it still did not change the fact that mankind died in death that day. Now, I'm not talking about physical death, but they died spiritually.
And that's what happened to Adam and Eve. Ephesians 6 verse 11, the Amplified put on the full armor of God for his precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavy, heavily armed soldier. So that you may be able to successfully stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. Notice the word deceits of the devil.
He is out to deceive. Now, here's the thing. If you're deceived today, it is because you do not know a truth about whatever opposes what the enemy is saying. I'm not going to get into it a lot today, but you remember, and if you don't look at my story, but when the enemy came to me and he told me when I was carrying my third child, he told me every day, many times a day, you're going to die.
You will never raise this child. And I heard it every day all day long. If I had known the biblical truth that God would satisfy me with long life, I would not have been so tormented by what the enemy was saying. I was receiving a lie.
Now, I want you to notice this. Satan, Lord of the Flies, was sowing one of his eggs, if you will, into my mind. But as I heard it all the time and it began to grow in me, it tried to produce, if you will, his maggot or that that will try to eat and devour. That's what he was doing to me.
And I did not know what was going on. I literally thought, well, I'm going to die. I'm not going to be able to raise this their child. I had two other children.
So I was deceived and I wouldn't tell anybody what the enemy was saying to me. I didn't even know it was the devil speaking these lies to me. Long story short, hearing it every day, I began to literally believe I was going to die. It wasn't just in my mind anymore.
It was in my heart. And you see, some people say, well, is Satan that powerful? Let me say this to you. The word of God is incorruptible.
1 Peter 1, 23, that we're born again not of the, excuse me, corruptible seed, but the incorruptible seed, which is the word of God. In other words, the word of God will never die. It goes on living. In fact, scripture says that the word of God will not return into him void, but he will accomplish that that he intended.
But yes, Satan is speaking words too. It goes back. He's Lord of the flies and he wants to lay the eggs in our minds with the hopes that he will get those thoughts into our hearts. In my case, Charlotte, you will die.
So when we're talking about powerful, his words are corruptible seed. You can curse what Satan is saying, rendering powerless and to say, no, devil, that is not the truth. And I resist you. I cast that down in Jesus name for it is written and we can speak the word of God that contradicts what the enemy is saying.
I did not know the truth, so I could not wore against that. But when we think about the enemy's words being powerful, when I begin to believe what he said, listen carefully, I was empowering him, his words, because my believing, my faith was giving his lies. If you will, listen life to spring up and to produce that in my life that would steal, kill and destroy. Is Satan speaking to you?
Is he sewing lies into your mind with the hopes of getting it in your heart? Oh, I hear it all the time in counseling. You know, I'll never amount to anything. I know I'm just stupid.
Why do you think you're stupid? Well, my parents told me that every day, all the time, or the kids at school, multi-man made fun. So I guess I am just stupid. What's happening?
The enemy is sewing a seed. He's laying the eggs of lies in one's mind. And as they begin to meditate that and think about it, they begin to believe that it's true. What does it say in Scripture as a man believes in his heart?
Notice his heart. So is he. If we believe we're stupid, guess what? That's going to be what we experience in life.
We're stupid, which the Bible says we have the mind of Christ, that we can be filled with wisdom and knowledge and understanding. That's the wheel of the Lord for us. If any man like wisdom, let him ask of God who gives liberally an upgrade, it's not. So we can come back the lies of the wicked one with truth.
And there's no shortcut to that. But I want you to know my believing what Satan said. I literally died and came out of my body. If they had not taken me to a prayer group, when all of this was going on, I wouldn't be here today.
But they started warring against what Satan was doing. And I want you to know that when I came out of my body and I looked at my body, I have to be honest. I was glad to be free of it because I didn't hurt anymore. I didn't have any pain anymore.
But when they stepped into the house with my body, because someone picked me up, I want you to know that I felt myself being pulled back into my body. And I knew they had laid me on the couch and I was weeping with pain. And the minister that was there, he began to rescripture to me and he read the words fear. And you know, I knew and I began to cry.
I've been afraid all of this time because I've been hearing the voices that I was going to die. I was going to die. I was going to die. And the pastor, he said to me, you believed a lie.
The enemy has lied to you. And when I begin to see the truth says that God will satisfy me with long life, then I begin to lay hold of that truth. I'll be honest with you. Even from a little girl, I always thought I would die prematurely.
I really, really believe that. So Satan was so and if you will eggs or thoughts into me, even from a young age. And now it all most came to pass. It's only the people of God that stood in the gap for me.
What is the enemy sowing into your mind? Listen, don't keep it a secret like I did. Expose it. Bring it to the light to someone who knows the word of God, someone that can come against those lies, someone that knows the truth, the word of God, that can speak into your mind and your heart that you can begin to oppose what the enemy is saying, the Lord of the flies, and that you can know truth and be made free from what the enemy is trying to do against you.
Satan is a deceiver today. He is laying eggs of filth and corruption and lies. He desires a harvest of death, disease and torment. And just like the fly.
He lays in those demon spirits, they lay eggs, which produce maggots. There's a scripture in Daniel, it even talks about that Satan will eat away at little by little. You can have a bowl full of food and it's gone by, but if the maggots are in it, they will eat it, but they'll eat a little bit at the time till the food is devoured. You know, I'm not saying to anybody today because you're a believer and Satan starts sowing season you that you're going to hell.
I'm not saying that, but he can certainly shorten your life and he can torment you in your life. That's his desire and that is not God's will for you. He doesn't want you to torment it. But again, don't allow Satan's lies to stay in the dark.
You need to bring them to the light by speaking of them and exposing them and taking authority. Again, Satan's lies are corruptible. You can curse them and they will wither and they will die, not to produce the evil that is intended to destroy your life. Thank God.
I've learned this truth. So why do I encourage you to get in the Bible to research the scriptures because it can be the difference for you in life and in death. Read the good word of God. We'll be back next time, but until then may God bless you and I love you.

We know that the Bible gives us many promises of God's healing power. And Isaiah 53 in verse 4, it says, Surely he had born our griefs and carried our sorrows yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities.
The chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes, we are healed. I believe that God wants to touch you today in a mighty way. We believe in God's word and in his promises.
And I feel that we can just hold fast to his promises every day and to speak his word. I know that when my little boy was sick, that I just spoke the word over him and I said, Micah, you will live and not die and you will declare the words to the Lord. And I know that the word says that Jesus, he sent his word and Jesus is the word. God sent his word to heal all of us from our sicknesses and diseases.
Can I pray with you today that God will touch your body wherever you are? The promise says that he will bring us peace. And it says that God, even more the grief and the sorrow that you may have today, that God wants to touch you mentally, physically, spiritually and every way. Let's pray Father, we just come to you Lord in the precious name of Jesus.
And Father, I thank you for my brother and my sister today. Father, wherever they are, God, you know their need. And Father, I'm asking of you to touch their bodies. Lord, the minister peace and joy and strength to their hearts today.
Father, I thank you for our healing and their bodies that we can just hold fast to your promises that by Jesus' drops, we are healed and we are whole. And Father, we thank you for your healing in my brother and sister today. Father, just touch their bodies by your power and by your might. And Father, we thank you for it that they are healed and they are whole in Jesus' holy name.
Amen. We'll praise God. Please write to us their call and let us know what God has done for you today. And I'm believing and I stand fast in prayer for your healing and from a touch from the Lord.
