As the dawning of the day moves us from darkness to light. So will the entrance of God's word lighten up your life. Stay tuned for the teaching ministry of Charlotte Father, as she presents this life with bringing to light ministries. Well, praise the Lord.

I am so glad that you have tuned in to the bringing to light to ministry program. It's always a joy to bring to you the Word of God. I want to say thank you to each one of you that writes to us to let us know you found our program and what it means to you. It's always an encouragement and a blessing to us.

I do want to say if you would like to have our monthly newsletter, it's our gift to you all you have to do is to let us know you would like to have that. And we will send it to you. I always enjoy writing it because God literally gives me truths that I believe that people need and it's a blessing to them. So again, let us know your name and your address.

And we will make sure we get that to you. Well, we're going to get into the series in just a few moments. But listen to these words that Shontai is going to be sharing with you. We're talking about who walk not after the flesh.

So tune in in just a moment. Hello, I'm Shontai Hotman. There was no greater love than the love from our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. We know in John 3 16 says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.

In verse 17, it says that God did not come to condemn the world, but to come to love us and to give His life for us. We know in Romans in chapter 10 and verse 9, it says that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord. And believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and is with your mouth that you confess that you are saved. God wants you to give your life to Him today. He loves you so much. And there is nothing like knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord.

He will give you that peace and that joy in your heart that you need. And it promises us that He will give us eternal life. And we know in Ephesians, it says Ephesians chapter 2, and verse 8, for it is by grace you have been saved. Through faith, and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God.

It's nothing that we can do in ourself and who we are. But this is a gift that God has given to us, that we can have eternal life. And it's by His grace and His love. Please pray a prayer with me today and ask Jesus to be your Lord and to be your Savior.

Father, we come to you in Jesus' name. And Father, I come and I ask you to be my Lord, to be my Savior. I ask you to cleanse me and purify me from all sin. I ask you to forgive me for anything all that I have done.

And Lord, I ask you to come into my heart, to be my Lord and to be my Savior. In Jesus' holy name, amen. We'll praise the Lord. We know in verse 13 of Romans 9, it says, call upon the Lord and you will be saved.

So as you have called upon the Lord today, I believe that you have received Jesus and you have been saved and that you will spend eternity in heaven with me. We'll praise the Lord. Please call or write to us and let us know what God has done for you today. Thank you.

Well, praise the Lord. So we were going to get into our series once again today who walk not after the flesh. You know, the Bible says that this way, you sow to the Spirit and you reap life everlasting. But you sow to the flesh, you will reap corruption.

And we know that when we look at the scripture like that, it's talking about the extreme means that if I will walk after what the Spirit of God is saying to me, in other words, as the Father rules me into Himself and I accept Him, I'm born again. Okay, that's life, that's everlasting life. That's the life in nature of God. But also if I walk in the flesh and I resist what God is saying, I resist the Lord, well, it's going to be destruction.

And we know that the outcome of all of that is hell. And that is a horrible place, but it's very real. But we're looking at it in the connotation of the life as a child of God that we live right now. You know, just because we're born again, that does not mean that the flesh, all at once, stops wanting to do things that are wrong.

Our flesh may still want to do things that is contrary to the word of God. And I don't care who it is, I can assure you, they have to deal with the flesh. The thing is that many have learned how to control or to subdue the flesh by the spirit man. And sometimes that goes through growth and maturity in the things of God.

I think it's a lot easier for me now than it used to be in some things, but still yet, there are times that my flesh can get angry or upset and it's going to be vital that I pull away and spend time with God to get my flesh subdued to what the spirit of God is saying. You know, it amazes me when I minister to people, a lot of them, they are so conscious of walking right before God that they never say anything against anything that comes their way. In other words, many will take abuse, many will allow people to mistreat their children, many won't speak up when they should for themselves and they just allow the devil to use individuals and circumstances to run all over them. Let me tell you something, that is not God's will for our lives.

There are times we have to stand up for ourselves. And sometimes especially when I'm dealing with a woman and this man is abusing her, the children, and they've got this concept, well, I just want to be right before God, so I don't say anything. And I'm thinking God gave you a voice, use it, don't allow some devil to work through anybody to hurt you or your children. So there is a mindset out there that can be totally opposite of what I'm trying to say today.

But I am saying when our flesh tries to move in an area that's against God's will, we have the ability through Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit to control what our flesh might want to do. Okay, I hope you're getting this today. We've been honing in, if you will, on three different things that I see that is a really big issue in how the enemy uses it against the children of God. It keeps them in a place that they are dealing with, the guilt they're dealing with condemnation, and they deal with shame.

And if the enemy can get a child of God into those places, it's gonna roadblock them in the things that God desires them to walk in. It will defeat us. I want us to look today in Romans chapter 10, and I'm gonna begin reading in verse eight, Romans 10 verse eight. But what's say it, the word is neither or nearly, even in thy mouth and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach.

Now, let's look at that. The word of God is not to be in two places. It's got to be in your mouth, and it's got to be in your heart. Now, I can find a promise in the word of God, and I can get really excited about it.

God's gonna be all my need, according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus. I'm excited about that word. And it's the truth, it is the word of God. And I may get that scripture in my mind, and I may meditate, and I may think about it.

I say, yay, it's meeting all my need. But if I don't get that word in not only my heart, but if I don't get it in my mouth, it is still shut down in me. The word of God has to be in two places. You can speak the word.

You may not have it in your heart yet, but you can find the promise, and you can just keep speaking it, and speaking it, and speaking it. All in one's, what's the Bible say? Romans 10, 17 faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So as I'm hearing myself speak that promise, then all it what's not only my speaking it, but the word gets into my heart.

Now, I'm not talking about the word in my brain. You can take anybody out there and get the word of God to go through their brain. But getting the word of God in your heart is where the word can work mightily in us, amen. So the word, it has to be in both places of the mouth and the heart, the word of faith, which we preach in the listen to verse nine, that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, now here I want you to get the mouth and the heart, all through these passages, but if you will confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus or Jesus as Lord, and shall believe in thine heart, notice this, believe in thine heart, here it is again.

If you will confess, if you will have the word in your mouth, that Jesus is your Lord, and you have that word of belief in your heart, that God has raised him, Jesus, from the dead thou shalt be saved. Now, wow, that's so powerful. Do you believe Jesus came and leave the perfect life? Do you believe he died on the cross?

Do you believe he's raised from the third day? Do you believe he was raised from the dead? And do you believe he's seated at the right end of the Father? The Bible says, you believe it and you speak it.

So I always ask somebody, I'm leading to the Lord, these very things, and I will have them to confess that. So look at the next verse, for with the heart, here we go again, with the heart, man, believe it unto righteousness. So when we think of the word righteousness, it's the word right standing with God. We believe unto that.

Now, notice, this is similar to what we saw in verse nine, that if you believe in your heart, and you confess Jesus as Lord, and that he was raised from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Now, the word saved, we can say was saved from hell, absolutely, but saved is also the word sozo, S-O-Z-O. And it just means salvation at large, which includes healing in our bodies, peace in our hearts, a provision. It means everything that means the abundant life that Jesus Christ came to give.

So with the heart means, believes unto righteousness, and notice here we go again, with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. We saw the believing was unto right standing with God, but here we're seeing that it is the believing, as we confess unto the Lord that Jesus Christ is Lord. So the heart, man, believe it unto righteousness, the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture said, who's so ever?

Believe it on him shall not be ashamed. Now, notice this, I'm already ready to gain. So for the scripture says, whose so ever, believe it on Jesus, shall not be ashamed or put to shame. When you become a child of God, you are born into the family of royalty.

You are born into the family that you are accepted and loved just like you are. You don't have to do one more thing for God to love you anymore. You can't do one thing less, and God love you anymore. He loves you just like you are.

Now, do I wanna remain the same? No, I want to more and more be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ, but it's not God's will to you, child of God, to be put to shame. God is not shaming any of us. The enemy, sometimes our flesh, and sometimes people want to shame us.

And I know Mother really didn't have to paddle me a whole lot, but she could just say, Charlotte, did you do that? I tell you why that was worse than any spanking, because I didn't want to feel that she was disappointed in me. Now, some of that's not all bad, but we just have to have a balance where we use that. But that's all Mother had to do was look at me with a disappointment on her face, and I felt like again, I had been spanked.

So there went a whole lot of spankings that I needed because she knew how to give me the look. And I know all kids are different, but let me reverse 13, for whosoever, she'll call upon the name of the Lord, she'll be saved. It is simply calling upon the name of Jesus. And you know, I was an adult before these passages really rang true in my heart.

From a little girl, beginning at nine years of age, I was asking Jesus to come into my heart, and I was going to the altar day after day. After every time we would have a service, I mean, I was in the altar, because I knew I didn't want to go to hell, and I knew I loved Jesus, and I knew I went to him in my heart. But I didn't know how to receive that by faith. I was expecting to see Jesus, or there would be something glorious that I would experience.

And I didn't have any of those things. I've been raised in church all my life, I didn't know anything else. But if I could have been shown these passages, I believe it would have made all the difference in the world for me, because the enemy would roar at me and say, you're going to hell, you've truly never been saved. So it kept me in a place sometimes that tried to rob me of my peace.

But you know, I'm just going to pause right here. You may be just like I was as a child. You may have wondered, you know, am I truly born again? Let me tell you, salvation is received by faith.

Faith is a competence, it's knowing that you know. So do we believe the word or don't we? You'd be quick to say, yes, I believe the word, Charlotte. Well, I just read you some very powerful passages.

And then after believing all the things that we just looked at that Jesus died and he was raised from the dead. He seated at the right hand of the Father. If we believe that, will we call upon his name? That's all we have to do.

It's say, Jesus coming to my heart to be my Lord and Savior. And if we really mean that, then we will be born again. We will be saved. We will have the salvation of God.

We will be children of the Most High God. And let me tell you, everything in life changes and Jesus is Lord. And trust me, it's for good. But not only that, you know, if we take our last breath on earth or if Jesus comes back, what we call the rapture and takes us home, I can assure you, if you've made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, then you will be in heaven with him for all eternity.

And I want to encourage you, don't put that off. Don't stay in doubt and unbelief. Get mad at doubt and unbelief. Get upset that the enemy's trying to rob you through that.

As a child of God, then you can say, devil, I have authority over you. I resist you in the name of Jesus. I decree, I'm a child of God. I decree, I'm going to heaven and I will live with Jesus for all eternity.

And you may have to say that several times, maybe many times, maybe many days or even weeks. So let me tell you something, it will drive out the doubt and the unbelief. The Word of God has the power to do that. So I just want to pause right now.

And I just want you, if you are not absolutely sure, I want you just to pray this prayer with me. I'm going to speak a little bit of the prayer and I'm going to pause and you say that part. And then I will say some more and you say that part. Let's do that right now.

Just say this with me, Jesus, Jesus, I am calling upon your name. Jesus, coming to my heart. I see in your word that if I would call upon your name, that I would be saved, I'm calling. So Jesus, thank you for coming into my heart and saving me, holding me and bringing me into your family that I'm a son, that I'm a daughter.

I'm a son and a daughter of you, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Now I will live for you and I will serve you all the days of my life in Jesus' name. Amen and amen.

If you prayed that today and you really believed this word and that you did the word God, it's not a man that he should lie. I want you to know God's about truth. But if you called upon him, he came into your heart today. Now the Bible says confession is made into salvation.

It's very important that you share that with somebody. Somebody that cares. There's some people out there who laugh at you and said you did what? But there's somebody that it's important for you to let them know you've asked Jesus to come into your heart.

It may be that you need to go to that church down the street or somewhere maybe you used to go as a child but tell somebody that would care that you made Jesus the Lord of your life. You feel free to write to this ministry. We would love to get you what we call an altar packet. It's a CD that shares the truths of what just happened to you and what that means.

We would like to get that in the mail to you. And also follow Jesus in baptism. I'm not saying that you have to do that before you go to heaven but Jesus was baptized. Let's follow him in baptism and then get in church.

Get in a Bible preaching church where you can join with brothers and sisters in the Lord and worship the Lord with them and hear the good of God. Good, our God's goodness preached through the gospel. I want to encourage you to do those things as well. So let us know.

We want to pray for you and hopefully these materials we send you will be a real blessing for you. So praise God as children of God, we have not been put to shame. Aren't you glad about that today? Okay.

So we know the scripture also tells us in verse 11, for the scripture says, whoever believe it or not be ashamed, but then also in Joel chapter two and 26 through 29, we read and my people shall never be ashamed. My people will never be ashamed. Oh, yes, shame is going to try knocking on your door. Some kind of shame or guilt about your past.

But the Lord says, it's not my will for you to ever have shame in your life. Well, does that mean that we do experience shame when we're seeing? Well, yes, when I mess up and I do something, I shouldn't have done it. I'm thinking, I can't believe I did that.

I feel so ashamed that I said that or I hurt this individual. Lord, I am so sorry. I messed up, but you see, I'm a confessing. I'm not going to hang out there in that place of shame.

The shame may come when I sin, but don't let the shame stay. Do something about the sin that's come against you. So for example, you know, two different people, they can have a quam between them. They can have issues between them.

And you know, if they say certain things again, they can go home and I'm talking about Christians and their hearts can condemn them. They feel shame and guilt over what happened. So not only repent to God, but the Bible says that we are to make it right with our brothers and sisters, right with those that we have hurt or harmed. So it's not just saying, God, I'm sorry, but it's saying to the individual that we hurt, I'm sorry.

Well, but I didn't do anything wrong. They were the ones that was wrong and maybe they were. In order to make amends with them, you surely had something to do in that situation. So if it's nothing but saying, I want you to forgive me where I hurt you and I knew maybe you were upset or angry, but I just want you to know, I am sorry that that happened, maybe they were the full instigator, but would we humble ourselves to make that thing right with another person?

So what do we do when we sense shame coming our way? What do we do with shame? Well, first of all, what are we ashamed of? What are we condemned about?

What do we feel guilty about? What is that thing that's going on? You know, you can talk out loud by yourself. Sometimes I'll feel down about something.

I'm really not even not for sure what that's about. Sometimes I do know, why do I feel down right now? And I'll just say like David did in Psalms 42, he said, David, he's talking to himself, why are you cast down? Why are you bent over in grief?

What's wrong with you, David? And he answered himself, hope thou in God. So if I feel those things in my flesh, the condemnation, the shame, I'll say, Charlotte, what's wrong with you? And if I know I answer myself out loud, I want to hear what's wrong with me.

And sometimes maybe somebody said something that I thought was very condescending or I asked for something. And maybe they told me no, that hurts because I don't ask unless I think that it's something I should have. But if they say no to me, it may hurt. And I may feel real down about that.

So I'm going to tell myself, Charlotte, you're feeling down because they told you no when you asked for a particular thing, then what do I have to do? Well, first of all, in that case, I'd say, Jesus, I forgive them. I don't believe their answer to me was right. I feel like they should have allowed me to have this particular thing, but nevertheless, I forgive them.

And then I'm going to say, Lord, forgive me for allowing this shame to come in and to stay. I may have felt that way for 24 hours or more. I'm giving me Lord for letting that flesh, that part of my flesh rule me for all these days that I'm not even myself. I don't talk to anybody.

I sort of pull back or I'm angry with everybody. It can go either way, right? So what am I going to do? I'm going to find out first, what am I feeling shame about?

Sometimes again, it may be something that happened many, many years ago. And I can say that out loud. But I then I'm going to say, I'm not going to allow that to hold me in shame anymore. Whether it's something somebody did to me or I did something that was wrong.

Shame has no place in the child of God. And that's what the Lord was very clear about, who's the way I believe it on him, shall not be ashamed. So again, I encourage you a lot with this, but if you need to talk with somebody about something in your past, you may be very ashamed about. Let me tell you, you're going to have freedom that's going to come to you when you can outwardly talk about whatever that is.

Don't allow the bondage of shame to hold you. And then is it something that's very clear to the word? Am I shamed about something that I know is not right with God? Where then I need to come to the Lord and I need to call it sin and I need to make a decision to turn away from whatever that is.

And knowing that God forgives, God forgets. And now He's going to help me and you to forgive ourselves. Amen what a joy. It has been to talk about these good truths from God's Word.

Our time is coming God, we'll be back next time until then. May God bless you and I love you all. Hello, I'm Shante Hoffman. Are you in an area in your life where you need a healing or a touch from the Lord?

God wants to touch your body or to just even touch you emotionally and give you his peace that passes all understanding. We know that the Bible gives us many promises of God's healing power. In Isaiah 53 and verse four, it says, surely He had born our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him. And with His stripes, we are healed.

I believe that God wants to touch you today in a mighty way. We believe in God's Word and in His promises. And I feel that we can just hold fast to His promises every day and to speak His Word. I know that when my little boy was sick, that I just spoke the word over him and I said, Micah, you will live and not die.

And you will declare the words to the Lord. And I know that the word says that Jesus, He sent His Word and Jesus is the Word. God sent His Word to heal all of us from our sicknesses and diseases. Can I pray with you today that God will touch your body?

Wherever you are, the promise says that He will bring us peace. And it says that God, even more the grief and the sorrow that you may have today, that God wants to touch you mentally, physically, spiritually and every way. Let's pray, Father, we just come to you Lord in the precious name of Jesus. And Father, I thank you for my brother and my sister today.

Father, wherever they are, God, you know their need. And Father, I'm asking of you to touch their bodies. Lord, administer peace, enjoy and shrink to their hearts today. Father, I thank you for our healing and their bodies, that we can just hold fast to your promises that by Jesus' drops we are healed and we are whole.

And Father, we thank you for your healing in my brother and sister today. Father, just touch their bodies by your power and by your might. And Father, we thank you for it, that they are healed and they are whole in Jesus' holy name. Amen, we'll praise God.

Please write to us their call and let us know what God has done for you today. And I'm believing and I stand fast in prayer for your healing and from a touch from the Lord. Amen.
