This year, BRI, also known as "Belt & Road Project" is coming to its 10th year, which has more than 140 nations under this project. How should China continue this project, without getting involved itself into the war? What should the world learn regarding the economic growth in China? Dr. Mohammadbagher Forough is a research fellow at GIGA - The German Institute of Global and Area Studies (Hamburg, Germany). He is also a research associate at Clingendael - Netherlands Institute of International Relations (The Hague). From 2016 to 2021, he was an assistant professor of International Relations at Leiden University (The Netherlands). He holds a PhD in International Security from Groningen University (The Netherlands). His research interests include global geoeconomics, infrastructure-security nexus (such as the Belt and Road Initiative - BRI), China-Middle East relations, Iranian foreign affairs.
