Redeemed by The Bastard Sons of Dennis with Dave Danielli. Album: Cruelty to Blues Redeemed is a cover song. Originally released by Blue Öyster Cult on their 1972 eponymous album. Music and lyrics: A. Bouchard, A. Lanier, H. Farcas, S. Pearlman. Copyright © 1972 Columbia Music. This arrangement by The Bastard Sons of Dennis. Inspiration drawn from the version on the eponymous Blue Öyster Cult studio album. Redeemed was always a tremendously popular Bastard Sons of Dennis song. It was one of the first songs the duo ever performed live. It was added to their repertoire for one of their first ever shows, which happened to be just before Christmas. They would describe Redeemed as their Christmas song, even if it was the middle of summer. The count-in for a live performance was "One, one," or two other random numbers. This was due to the rather odd amount of beats at the beginning. The guitars in this version were both recorded live at the same time in Wud Records Studio One. The vocals were added afterwards, and the bass a long time later. Performers: Derek Broom - vocals, guitar Chuck Palmer - guitar, vocals Dave Danielli - bass Recorded and engineered at Wud Records Studio One, exeter uk. Bass recorded in north devon, June 2024. Produced, mixed and mastered by George Davies 2025.
