The craftsmanship of its composition by the legendary Bouchard brothers is masterful. This version is in G# minor. The chord progressions are so beautifully constructed, with a minor second A major and a 'devil's interval' flattened fifth chord of D major providing a gloriously satisfying twist. Both Chuck and Derek take solos. Derek's is an addition that is not found on the original version. Wings Wetted Down was always a very popular live song. It was performed on many occasions by The Bastard Sons of Dennis and introduced by the band with a cryptic and comical description.
