Unfortunately, the resulting film suffered from behind-the-scenes troubles, recut to ribbons and faired even worse critically/commercially: the 1990 sequel Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III from director Jeff Burr (From A Whisper To A Scream, The Stepfather II) and writer David J.
