Building Racial Unity

Jamel Crawford :: Creekside Church :: Wednesday, July 14, 2021 As a conclusion to our summer series exploring Critical Race Theory, special guest Jamel Crawford spoke to us at Creekside about a Biblical approach to racial reconciliation. Christians are reconciled back to God through Jesus Christ, and the church can model that reconciliation amidst current racial tensions and in light of historic racism in American society. Jamel encourages believers toward recognizing the image of God in differing colors and cultures, also sharing how to listen to learn, and acknowledging our past in order to create pathways to healing, hope, and unity in the present and future. Jamel is senior pastor at New Life Center in Des Moines as well as the founder of DSM Dream Center, a Christ-centered non-profit connecting area youth to a community of support.
