We believe that local independent community pharmacy has a much wider role to play in future home-care. Historically, pharmacists have not been included on home care teams, despite the fact that home care patients require more pharmacy care services and frequently experience medication errors. There’s an opportunity for Community Pharmacies to deliver more in-home care services. LTC pharmacies are compensated for services which many community pharmacies provide to their home-bound patient base.
