Buying a Condo with Calgary Lifestyle, Community & Homes, Royal LePage Benchmark

from There’s no Place Like Home© with Diane Planidin · host calgaryliving

Buying a Condo in Calgary? Diane with Royal LePage Benchmark discusses three different types of Condo's available on the market. There are many pros and cons of buying and living in a Condo.   Pros of a Condo: The biggest benefit of a condo is usually that you're off the hook when it comes to maintenance and repairs, which is invaluable for those who don't want to be bothered with chores.   Hint - you need to know what the reserve fund is and how your monthly fees are impacted by the level of funds. Also, to ensure there won't be a cash call in the future.   Cons of a Condo: The downside, of course, is that you may not always feel like you have total privacy. Shared walls and close neighbors are not for everyone, but if you're the type of person who enjoys a sense of community then that probably won't be an issue. You're also more likely to face rules and regulations when it comes to renovating or renting your property.   Hint - not all buildings are built the same. You need to know who the builder was, the quality of materials and type of construction used in order to make an informed decision. Think about your lifestyle and what will work well for you.   As always, you need to work with a Realtor who has knowledge about purchasing a property and has your best interest at heart.
