Lali: “I was doing a Masters in School Counseling, and it’s funny because I was thinking of dropping out and instead of dropping out, I decided to pursue a PhD -- which makes no sense.” (7:29) 3. Samara: “Academia and I...we broke up.” (17:57)...I realized that the amount of demand that they place on you in programs like this was not compatible with God’s plan for my life (19:31) 4. Samara: “I can do this. I don’t have to be a man or a woman in order to do this.” (32:09)...2020 was the year of me giving people a chance to get my f*cking pronouns right (33:42) 5. Lali: “And that I don’t need my parents’ permission or anyone’s permission to choose how my body looks.” (35:14) 6.
