Byeeee Review — A Dark Comedy About Falling Apart Gracefully

Joshua Hunter reviews Byeeee, Chell Stephen's pitch-black comedy starring friend of the podcast Romina D'Ugo as Andy, a disgraced tech founder who retreats to her family's abandoned lakeside cottage after a very public scandal — for what she insists will be her final weekend alive. Joshua breaks down how the film balances its dark humor with genuine emotional weight, digs into D'Ugo's breakout performance, and unpacks whether this two-hander about performance, isolation, and the absurd logistics of self-destruction earns its comedy without undercutting its heavier themes.  🍍 The Reel Pineapple is your one-stop shop for honest movie reviews, trailer breakdowns, and unfiltered film talk — no hype, no gatekeeping, just reel takes from someone who actually loves this stuff. 📺 Subscribe on YouTube: youtube.com/thereelpineapple 🦋 Follow on BlueSky: reelpineapple.bsky.social 🎥 Follow on TikTok & Instagram: @jhunterreelpineapple 🎬 Follow on Letterboxd: BlackShazam 🎮 Catch me live on Twitch: twitch.tv/thereelpineapple ⭐ Love the show?
